Platelet-rich plasma (PRP)
What is PRP and how is it administered?
A microneedling facial, or 'collagen induction therapy', is minimally invasive procedure that naturally stimulates collagen growth, resulting in smoother, firmer, more-even looking skin. The treatment reduces pore size, reverses the signs of aging, and fades acne scars.
PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, is basically concentrated platelets obtained directly from your blood. Platelets are rich in proteins and growth factors and directly acts to stimulate tissue regeneration.
Combined with PRP, a microneedling facial stimulates collagen production, reduces the appearance of fine lines and sagging skin, and is one of the few procedures that reduces the appearance of dark circles. 3-6 treatments are generally required for desired results.
